"Yeah, probably." Seth smiled, and picked up both their fishing rods, then stood, and waited for Ace.
Kineta nodded, then smelled burning meat, dropped the sword, and shot back to the fire, grabbing the fish, and dropping it on a plate, burning her fingers. "OW!" She blew on her fingers, then glared at her fish. "All that just because I caught you." She muttered to it, then picked up the sword again, running her fingers down its warm length. "Where'd you get it?"

Kikoto smiled. "It was a gift, from my sister, your aunt." She smiled then turned, seeing Ace heading to his room, when he looked over and walked to his sister, staring at the sword. "Woh, whos sword is that?" He spoke, his voice awed.

"It's Mom's." Kineta smiled, then lay the sword gently on a chair where her mother could pick it up, and picked up her plate, then carried it to 'her' corner. She crossed her legs, and set it across one leg, then started eating the burnt fish. It tasted good, even if she had burned it.
Seth watched his daughter, then noticed slight bloodstains on the back of her shirt. "Kin..."
"Mm?" "What's on your neck?" "Nothin'." Kineta lied, hoping that Kikoto and Seth wouldn't realize that she had a long, though shallow, cut, across the back of her neck, and it was still bleeding. She finished her fish, and carried it to the kitchen, then was walking back when someone caught her shoulder, and she paused.

Ace caught his sister and looked at her. He did not say anything.
Kikoto tied her sword around her waist, under her dress, once more, then walked up to Kineta and said a few words, healing her neck wound, but not her arm, she did not have great magical powers any longer, she could not heal very well. "Its nothing Seth, don't worry." She smiled then there was a nock on the door and she went to answer it. Ace had dashed off into his room, the door closed, and was reading... AGAIN!

Kineta raised her hand, and felt the back of her neck. She paused. Was it really gone? Evidently so. She looked at Ace as he darted into his room, then shrugged. She watched her mother go to the door, and shot into her room, slamming the door behind her, and flying onto her bed with a satisfying squish of the mattress. She buried her face in the pillow, then hid her head underneath it, the soft material pressing her black ears down against her head. She made a soft purring sound, this was her sanctuary. No one came into her room except sometimes Ace, and he was promptly driven outside again.
Cat grinned at her sister. "Long time, no see." She flicked her tail around her legs, then scratched an ear. "So how's it been goin'?"

Kikoto smiled. "Hi Cat, come in!" She smiled at her sister. "Its been good." She looked up when Aces door opened.
Ace just noticed he was thirsty. He walked out of his room, and stopped short when he saw the other cat person in their house, his ears twitched and he blinked.

Cat looked up, and cocked her head. "Hey Ace." The last time she had seen the twins was when they were about nine. She smiled slightly, her long tail twining around her leg. She, being a Catgirl, didn't show signs of further aging past twenty-five, and she wouldn't until she was much older. It was just the nature of being one.
Kineta crept to her door, and pressed her ear against it, listening. She heard Cat's voice, but didn't realize who she was.

Ace just blinked, and his ear flicked. "Uh... Hi?" He waked over and got a drink of water. then turned and started heading back to his room when someone caught his shoulder.

Seth caught his son's shoulder, and smiled at him. "Why don't you stay for a few minutes?" He let him go, then, and just looked at him quietly.
Kineta was growing increasingly thirsty, and she finally opened the door, dashed over to the sink, and filled a glass. She downed it in two gulps, then streaked back to her room, but before she got there, she tripped over stuff yet again, and smacked into the floor. She pulled herself up on her good arm, and rubbed her ear, one eye closed. Can't I have one normal day? She asked herself, sitting in the middle of the floor for a moment before getting up and heading back to her room, when someone caught her shoulder, and she prayed she wouldn't have to stay.

Ace shrugged and sat down, crossing his arms on the table, and placing his head in them looking around. His ears had three white stripes on them, the last time Cat had seen him, they didn't have any! His ears flicked every once in a while, then he laughed at his sister. "Your such a loser." He felt someone smack him hard on the ear, and he raised his hand and covered it. "OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" He lowered his hand then just sat there quietly.
Kikoto smiled. "Say hello, and you can go." She knew how much Kineta hated other people.

Cat looked over at Kineta, and smiled. "It's been awhile." She turned back to Ace, and smiled slightly, her lips twitching upwards. Her ears insisted on twitching continually, and it drove her insane, but she ignored it.
Kineta was tense, as if she was about to flee danger, and she fidgeted. She didn't want to say hello to Cat, even though she was her aunt. She looked at her mother with pleading eyes, begging her to let her escape to her room. Her black ears were slowly melting down against her head, and she started pulling away from Kikoto, wanting to get away to the sanctuary of her room, with its familiar blankets, bed, and hiding place. The place that represented security to her.

Kikoto sighed. "Fine, go." She let her go and smiled as she tore into her room, closing the door behind her.
Ace stared at the table top, not speaking.
Kikoto smiled. "So Ace, today was your last day of grade eleven wasn't it?" "Yeah." "You think you made it to grade twelve?" "Yeah." Ace stood up and dashed into his room, then grabbed his book and came back out, sitting in the same place, then reading.

Kineta shut the door with a soft thud, then leaped onto her bed, diving under the pillow. She wriggled underneath it, locking her hands behind her head, only, on top of the pillow, with her head facing down. She burrowed into the mess of blankets, throwing her boots onto the floor, not even bothering to change her clothes. She hated company worse than anything else, even school, and she usually tried to escape into her room.
Cat smiled as Ace started to read, then turned to Kikoto. "So all's been good?" She asked, smiling at her younger sister, her yellow eyes soft.
Seth didn't say anything at the moment.

Kikoto nodded and smiled. "Oh yes, very well." She walked over to the countertop. "You hungry?" HELP ME! I HAVENT SEEN HER IN YEARS!

Neither have I! Seth exclaimed, then grinned at Cat. "Kikoto can cook really well, so if you're hungry, I'd take the opportunity."
"Not me. I just ate before coming over here." Cat murmured, then watched Kikoto come back over to sit down again. "Kineta doesn't like company, does she?" She had judged that by the way she had been so eager to get back into her room.
Kineta heard her name mentioned, and crept up to her door, pressing her ear against it, listening intently.

Kikoto smiled. "No, she doesn't. But our Ace here." She stroked his head kindly, running her hand over his ears once in a while. "He doesn't mind, do you sweetie?" "No Mother."

Cat smiled slightly. She could tell that Ace loved to read, since that was what he was doing at the moment. She glanced in the direction of Kineta's room, and heard a soft rustling sound. She's listening?
Kineta pressed her furry ear harder against the door, trying to pick up more sound, but they were speaking in low voices.

Cat smiled, then glanced at the clock. "I suppose I'd best be going now..." She murmured, then stood, and headed for the door. "Nice to see you again." She called over her shoulder, before disappearing into the night, her sword swinging at her side.

Ace looked up at his Father. "Can I go now?"
Kikoto smiled and answered for Seth. "Yes, go." She watched Ace take off to his room and close his door, then she walked over to Seth and put both hands on his chest, smiling up at him. She never did like our children much, did she.

I don't know. I think it's more that she has no idea what to say to them. Seth smiled softly at her, then hugged her close and kissed the top of her head.
Kineta quietly opened the door, saw her parents, and slammed it shut again, dashing to the furthest corner of her room, and rummaging through her stuff. It was only about seven in the evening, and she wanted to go outside. She pulled a loose shirt and baggy pants out of the pile, pulled off her dirty things, and pulled on those, then hesitated at her door.

Seth smiled at her, and hugged her close, then looked over when he saw Kineta's door opening. "Hey, Kin. Where you going?"
"Out..." Kineta had her sword belt around her waist, and she paused, fidgeting, then started to walk slowly towards the door.

Kikoto also looked over. "Don't start any fights!" She turned back to Seth and kissed him. So they had grown up, and had a few kids together, they could still kiss and love like they were still teenagers!

Kineta had every intention of starting a fight, just to stir things up. "Um..." She mumbled, reaching the door, then slipping outside before Kikoto could catch her and demand why she had just said 'um'. She darted to her tree, and scrambled up into its branches. It was getting cold outside, and she wouldn't be able to stay out long, but she would make the best of it. She fingered the hilt of her sword, then sprang out of the tree, and started striding towards Shanaii.
