"HEY! I'm not a kid!" Galia yelled after him, then darted after Dray and walked beside him. She put her hands on her hips, and glared at him. "I don't need anyone, least of all HIM, to look after me!" She exclaimed, then continued walking alongside him defiantly. He must not have remembered the episode with the four of them: Akili, Dray, Galia, and Kalor.

Dray looked over at her, a feirce fire blazing in his eyes. "Whatever. Then go back to the others, i'll see you in a few days."
Akili looked at Kalor. Shes still scared of you.

I'd forgotten about that...but obviously she hasn't. Kalor sighed softly, looking over at Akili.
"Why can't I come?" Galia asked quietly, still walking beside him, her voice in a slightly hurt tone. She thought that he would at least remember that she was still afraid of Kalor, and still had slight bruises on her neck for testimony that she was.

Dray stopped and knelt down beside her on one knee, then turned her to face him. "I just want to be alone for a while, okay? Kalor woun't hurt you, we both lost our tempers last time, just... Just let me be alone for a while, i'll see you in a few days. I promise." He stood again and kissed her lovingly before walking off again.

Galia sat alone for a long time, looking after Dray, her shoulders hunched forward. She turned her head away, and stared at the ground, then sat silently in the middle of the path, her knees drawn up to her chest, her cheek resting on one of her arms. I miss you already... She whispered in her own mind, then didn't move at all, wishing he would come back to her. It was only a few days...but she missed him already. It would be a very long few days. She still would not go near Kalor, never.

Akili looked at Kalor. Dray is gone, I can sense Galia. I'm going to go see what happened. She left Kalors arms and walked up the path, finding Galia. "What happened Galia?"

Galia was gazing into the distance, the direction Dray had gone. She didn't look up when Akili came over to her. "Dray left. He said he wanted to be alone for awhile." Oddly, Galia wasn't even close to tears. She just rested her chin on her knees, watching the horizon as if it would bring Dray back to her. But she knew it wouldn't. Nothing she hoped had ever come true, why should it now?

Akili smiled. "Come back to the camp. Please?" She sat down beside her friend. "He will find us again, we are going to head out soon."

Galia still didn't look up, but she did shake her head slightly, just enough so that her hair fell forward on either side of her face, masking her emotions from both sides. She turned her head to the side so that she was looking away from Akili still. She shook her head more vigorously now. She didn't want to go near Kalor again, not without Dray. She could defend herself and use a sword, of course, but she never wanted to go anywhere near Kalor ever again. She had no intention of forgiving him for what he had done to her. She wrapped her arms more tightly around her knees, as if protecting herself, drawing her legs in closer to her, letting her head slide downward until her forehead was resting on her knees, where no one could see her face.

Akili sighed. "Look, I know your still scared of Kalor. He woun't hurt you, hell, he woun't even look at you if you don't want him too." She smiled. "He isn't a bad person, he just gets mad every once in a while like we all do." She looked up. "You can walked by Seth and Kikoto, how about that?"

"I don't care." Galia shrugged indifferently. She honestly didn't care where she walked, she just wanted Dray to come back. As long as she didn't have to go near Kalor. Just his height terrified her, he was six inches taller than she was, and a lot stronger as well. She shrank down closer to the ground, not wanting to go back to camp. Everyone would stare at her, she knew. And then they would ask questions, and she just didn't want to deal with it all.

Akili smiled. "Please come back? I'm sure Dray will be back soon."

"He said a few days. That isn't soon." Galia mumbled, not even looking up. She started to edge very slowly away from Akili, so slowly that it would barely have been noticeable except to someone who was watching her very hard.

Akili laughed slightly. "To Dray a few can mean a lot or an hour. Just come back to camp. Please?"
Kikoto woke up to Seths smell, and to hear his breathing. She snugged into his chest deeper for warmth, not wanting to ever leave his arms again, and she would stay there until she had to move.

Galia shook her head silently, her purple eyes dark and sad. "I can't." She whispered simply, unmoving. Akili wasn't making her feel much better, she was starting to make her feel worse. She huddled into herself for comfort. Akili didn't know that saying that had made her more twitchy that she already was with Dray gone. She wasn't dependent on him, but it made her feel a lot better to have him around. It never occurred to her to mindspeak to him.
Seth awoke, but didn't move at all, letting Kikoto lean against him.

Kikoto closed her eyes again, but did not sleep. She looked up seeing Seth awake, but thought she was just dreaming and looked down.
Akili saw Galia grow more sad. "Try mindspeaking him, ask him what he thinks." She stood up and walked back to camp.

What am I supposed to say...? Galia wanted to scream, but only stared in complete silence at the horizon again once Akili had left. She didn't put up barriers, but she had no idea what to say, so she didn't mindspeak either.
Seth smiled down at her, hugging her close, and resting his head lightly on top of hers, but not saying a word.

Dray sat down by a large tree, thinking about everything and nothing at the same time. "I'm such a fool." He spoke to himself, in both voice, and mind, even though it was acident.

Galia heard him, and her head jerked up. No you're not. She murmured quietly to him. She held her knees tighter, and looked around, then stopped and sank her forehead dejectedly back onto her knees. No, of course he wasn't here. What had she been thinking, anyway?

I know... Galia whispered softly. She did know. Ever since she had fallen in love with him, she had hidden part of herself deep within her soul, thinking to forget it. But she missed her freedom as much as she missed Dray right now. It ripped her in two, but she made herself stay with Dray, rather than run free and wild through the forest again. She loved him so much, she loved her freedom too. It still tore her heart between two ways, though she never let anyone, not even Dray, see it. She hid it well, she was a more convincing liar than people gave her credit for.

Dray shook his head, as if someone could see him. No. I have been thinking what Trio told us. That my head, and heart are fighting over you. Why woun't they just share?

I don't know... Galia murmured, then paused. She decided to give her thoughts a try. What if one of them needs a child to look after, do you think? Even her mind-voice seemed to be blushing. She was nowhere near ready, but it was a thought. She sighed softly, and looked into the shadows reaching out to her.

Dray's eyes widdened slightly. A child? Uh.... He was blushing at that thought. Maybe.... I uh.... I don't know. This was clearly making him feel odd, but for some reason, he liked that feeling.

I don't know either. Galia admitted sheepishly, her face turning red just from the thought. But it wasn't so much embarrassment, so much as curiosity about how he felt about it. She wished that he was right here beside her, where she could see him, but that wasn't coming true until he decided to come back.

The words ran through Drays head. A child.... A child.... A child? He blinked. I think your right, i'm lucky your smart. His mind held slight happiness. But not right now, not yet.

No, definitely not. Galia agreed, then looked deeper into the dancing shadows. I love you so much, Dray... She murmured quietly, sending all the love she could possibly muster into his name, then straightening her legs in front of her, and looking up at the sky, her arms stretched out behind her, supporting her torso. She smiled softly, and flopped backwards onto the soft grass. She finally stood, and walked back to the others, then sat down at the very edge of the clearing.

Dray smiled. I love you too, my dear beautiful Galia. He also stood up and started to head back to the camp, but something stopped him short, something around him felt odd, it didn't feel right, when suddenly his eyes got big. Galia, get out of the clearing! Get everyone out! He turned, seeing a giant pack of Timber Wolves, all closing him in. He drew his sword and got ready to fight. Hurry!

Galia swore. Then she saw the wolves, too. "WOLVES!" She yelled, dashing around and waking everyone up. She drew her sword. There was no choice, they were surrounded by the snarling, foam-muzzled beasts. Foam? They have rabies, Dray! Be careful! She cried out to Dray, then caught a wolf on an upstroke as it lunged for her. The others were fighting as well. She could just see Dray, off and on, then her instincts for survival took over and she became the wild creature she had never shown to others, whirling around with blade flashing, her skill with the sword evident, the shining blade taking down another wolf.
Kasari cursed softly, lunging to her feet, and drew her almost unused sword. It would be deadly to bite the wolves, they had rabies and it could very well get her as well. Fortunately, she was good with the blade, she had practiced much, and she spun and danced like a child playing with a toy. A deadly, flashing, shining toy that struck down lives when it hit with its terrifying precision.

Dray hacked at the wolves that dared attack, and he killed them all, atleast he thought he had. He looked around, and saw no others then was about to run back to the others and help when a wolf jumped on him and tore open his shoulder. He hacked it off, killing it, then ran back to join the others. He killed a wolf that got in his way, then another, and another, they all fought bravly against the pack, and soon were all dead.
