Siri sank down with her back to a tree, her long legs bending at the knees. The end of her halberd rested a few feet beyond the toes of her boots, the great blade three feet behind her shoulder despite the fact that it was two feet past her boots, making it about seven feet long, the handle alone. The blade, fastened at the end in a halfmoon-like shape, had an ancient scripture written into it. She looked out into the water before her, as if in a trance.

Keleka walked into the clearing then saw the other, but didn't even stop moving. "Nice weapon." She walked by, her black hair flowing behind her, her rust, gold trimmed armour glinting and her bladed gloves showing under her cloak.

"The halberd?" Siri inquired, watching the other with her white eyes, the pale blue pupils dilated. She was not like others, she had Sight. "What's your name?" She didn't stand, she was too used to being alone, cast out by her village for her visions.

Keleka stopped and turned. "Keleka. Whats yours?" She crossed her arms, making the blades flash.

"Siri." Siri smiled slightly, and shifted her halberd, but didn't stand, too tired from her long walk. She moved to one side to be more comfortable, and the dagger at her belt glinted in the light, the sapphire in the hilt shining.

Keleka grinned. "Ah yes, the all famous Siri." She sat, her legs bending at her knees and turning to her sides. "I have heard much about you."

Siri grinned. "So word has spread from the village, then?" She cocked her head, running her fingers up the shaft of the halberd idly, then she lowered it and rested her legs over the handle.

Keleka closed her eyes and shrugged. "I sopose. Is it true you have visions?"

Siri sighed softly. "Yes. I am the only one to have the Sight, or at least the effect on the eyes that it has on humans." She closed the white eyes for a moment, then looked at Keleka again.

Keleka cocked her head. "What effect? You seem no different then me."

Siri smiled, and her eyes widened slightly, showing the pale blue pupils and white around them better. "White eyes. Many are afraid of them, they say it is the witch's mark."

Keleka laughed. "Many have not seen a witches mark." She looked at them. "I think there cool."

Siri blinked. "Really? I always thought they were interesting, maybe, but not cool." She smiled, and fidgeted with her sleeve, fixing it.

Keleka smirked. "I have seen to many 'interesting' things. Like ghosts. They are very interesting...."

"Aye, I can well guess at that. I've seen many spirits, not ghosts, perhaps, but haunted spirits whose earthly business is unfinished...often in the visions." Siri smiled, closing her eyes.

Keleka closed her eyes and nodded. "Ghosts are evil bastardly things. Attack without reason, then you got nothing to fight them with."

Siri shook her head slightly. "Some of them, aye. Only those that show themselves to the living. They fear me, because I can use the Sight and occasionally see their pasts, so they stay clear of me." She shrugged, her blood red hair swishing.

Keleka nodded. "Seems they are everywhere." She took off her glove and showed her a scar with three slashes along her wrist. "Ghost did that when I was at a grave yard." She slipped her glove back on. "Nasty creatures."

"Aye...despite being immaterial, the dead can do a lot of damage." Siri nodded quietly, then leaned her head back against the tree and closed her eyes, the black tattoo along her arm shining black against her lightly tanned skin.

Keleka nodded. "I wonder how."

"I don't really know...if I tried hard and went to a graveyard, I could likely find out how it was done...and somehow fend them off with my halberd." Siri shrugged again, her narrow shoulders rising and falling nonchalantly. "So, have you got any news as to the country that's recent?" She smiled.

Keleka shook her head. "Just that the leader is a fifteen year old kid with tons of power."

"Aye...I heard of that, came here after the two wars...it sounds terrible." Siri shook her head slowly, then looked back at Keleka.

Keleka crossed her arms. "Mhmm. Any kid that has that power already is in trouble. Just wait until hes grown up, then the world will end." This was her theery, and she didn't know how right she was.

"Mmm..." Siri was about to say something, then her back went rigid, and she stared ahead, in a trance. Joy...happiness...people singing, and dancing, with a Cat, smiling... Then the vision faded, and she paused. "Nay, it will not end."

Siri shook the last of the trance from her head and looked at Keleka with a slightly distant gaze. "Happy people...around a Cat, wearing a Yin Yang. Then it was gone."

Siri cracked a rueful smile. "I cannot honestly say...but I don't believe the world will come to an end, not yet." She grinned, then looked at the inscribed ancient symbols on her halberd, then back to Keleka.

Keleka stared back. "Okay....." Suddenly there was a rustling and Zev walked into the clearing.
Zev looked up at the two. "Uh... Oh sorry, I didn't see you." He turned and was about to walk off when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
