Erai crept through the forest, her spiked boots making no sound. She made sure not to crack a twig, brush a tree, anything. She finally scaled a huge oak, and watched for her brother, hoping that he hadn't followed her. It was getting annoying being tracked every hour of every day of every week. She held onto the branch, a blade in each hand, dearly praying for freedom for one hour, even. She looked at the freedom mark on her shoulder: the flying bird, or almost M shape. Freedom for what she could never have. She sighed deeply, and stretched out on the branch.

Keleka wandered through the forest, rarely making sound. She picked up a twig and started breaking it as she walked, smiling at it as it died.

Erai didn't move from her perch in the tree. She was thankful that it wasn't Zade walking around. She let Keleka pass unharmed, knowing that she had not seen her shadow or her. She had remained completely motionless so as not to give herself away. She hoped that the woman in rust-coloured armour below would just pass her by so that she could go on her way again.

Keleka continued walking and was soon out of sight.

Erai smiled to herself, and stood, then sprang out of the tree, and started walking silently along. Her long, black, red-tipped hair swung slightly from side to side as she swayed arrogantly back and forth, her long strides carrying her swiftly forward. She suddenly paused as she felt an irritatingly familiar strong hand on her shoulder, and turned around.

Zade walked infront of his sister. "You really should of stayed in the tree longer." He walked infront of her.

"Damn. Why is it I can't go anywhere without you following me?" She asked flatly. "And how come I didn't hear you coming?" She sighed, and stopped, looking up at him almost pleadingly. She could not go anywhere at all without being followed by her older brother.

Zade shrugged. "I can be silent too." He smirked and leaned against a tree, crossing his arms. "Fine, you can go, i'm going to sleep anyway, i'm tired." He flopped down on the lush grass and closed his eyes, falling asleep.

Erai rolled her eyes, then realized that she, too, was tired. She sank down onto the grass with her back to her brother, and fell asleep.

After a few hours Zade woke up and looked around, seeing his sister he shrugged and played with a blade of grass.

Erai rolled over, and woke up slowly, then blinked to wake up. "You're still here? Wow." She smirked, but didn't get up, just crossing her arms over her chest as she lay on her back.

Zade shrugged. "Okay, i'll leave." He stood up and started walking.

She shrugged, still on the ground. "Okay then. You're deciding not to follow me for one day, huh?"

Zade turned his head and smirked. "Yup, for sure."

She smirked. "Then I think I'm going to go do something besides hide in a tree." She announced, and stood, then started walking away, when someone grabbed her shoulder.

Zade grabbed her shoulder. "Be careful. I'll see you later." He started out at a sprint, and was soon gone.

"My god." She muttered to herself, and started off at a swift walk, then tripped over a root. "How did I not see that?" She muttered flatly, and was about to stand when she felt a second hand on her shoulder. "WHAT?"

Keleka took her hand from Eria's shoulder. "Why are you always around here?"

"Because I live here." She replied simply, with a flat voice. She sighed, and placed one hand on her hip, turning. "Why are YOU always around here?" She shot back.

Erai shrugged nonchalantly. "You pass by a lot, then." She remarked dryly, then dashed off into the trees. This time no one grabbed her shoulder, and she disappeared into the thick foliage.
